A single-stage air compressor (also called a one-stage or single-cylinder compressor) compresses air only once before sending it to the storage tank. It uses one piston stroke to draw air in and compress it to the desired pressure.

It is commonly used for light to medium-duty applications in homes, workshops, garages, and small industries.

How It Works

1. Air Intake: The piston moves downward, pulling air into the cylinder.

2. Compression: The piston moves upward and compresses the air in one stroke.

3. Delivery: The compressed air is pushed into the receiver tank.

Since air is compressed in a single step, the pressure produced is lower than that of a two-stage compressor.
